The original version of Bryce Dessner 's To The Sea was premiered on 2nd November 2011 during the 'Monstrance' installation, in collaboration with Matthew Ritchie, at L & M Arts Los Angeles. This version for strings was commissioned by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and first performed on 19th May 2012. This is the full score with the individual instrument parts, arranged for SSAA Chorus and Ensemble. Bryce Dessner is best known as the guitarist for The National, but he has also been acclaimed as a composer in his own right.
