Displacement For String Quartet was expertly composed in 2013 by Karsten Fundal. For the Danish composer, no one style of music is preferable to another; he is interested in the fundamental idea of music which, stylistically, can result in almost anything. Fundal also writes and arranges music for Danish films and leading Danish pop artists.
Displacement recieved it's world premiere on the 11th of November 2013 at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, København, Denmark. The JACK Quartet had the honour of performing this piece for the premiere.
