Adieux adressés un grandhomme can' t be known for certain. Vieuxtemps’ Funeral March for string quartet, however, is undoubtedly an enrichment of the quartet repertoire and can now be offered as a serious point of repose in concerts and competitions, andlikewise at funeral services. The parts contain both the Urtext version and a thoroughly elucidated version as a suggestion for performance.
