Score and 5 parts (Violin I, II; Viola; 2 x Cello/Bass). Separate parts also available for sale.
In 1783 Mozart, fascinated by the counterpoint of J. S. Bach, wrote a Fugue K.426 for two Keyboards. Then in1788 he re-arranged the fugue for Strings and added a brief, but beautiful, Adagio. The entire work lasts less than 10 minutes but is a fantastic example of Mozart's late compositional excellence.
