One of Handel's first works in English, the 'Utrecht' Te Deum was written in 1713. Along with the accompanying Jubilate, it won him the approval of the people and an annual allowance from Queene Anne. The keyboard part is a reduction of the original orchestral score, though parts for Flute, 2 Oboes, Bassoon, 2 Trumpets, Strings and Keyboard are available from the G. Schirmer if a more authentic performance is desired.
