Owain Park’s piece is a masterful recomposition of Allegri’s iconic choral work, placing voices and saxophones in dialogue and translating the original music into a rich contemporary soundworld. On BBC Radio 3 Record Review, Andrew McGregor called it “an intriguing adaptation of the Allegri Miserere”, going on to say that “the intimate way the saxophones and voices interweave and blend is strikingly effective”.
