Composed in 2008, Trio , for the Clarinet, Cello and Piano, was written by the British composer Ed Hughes in memory of the distinguished musicologist and Berio expert David Osmond-Smith. Inspired by Osmond-Smith's passion for music, this short work tries to capture the harmonic and polyphonic subtlety of Brahms' Intermezzos.
