Italian-born composer Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739) composed a diversity of music, from church music and oratorios, to solo cantatas, duets and sonatas. Benedetto was a younger contemporary of Antonio Vivaldi, and his musiccan be easily recognised as having a ‘Vivaldian flavour’.
