The title of this composition comes from the idea of having a very energetic composition with contrasting melodies. The contrast of dissonance to melodic and harmonic is the cornerstone of this composition. The 1st trumpet's highest note is F. Only the 1st and 2nd clarinets play above the break, the 3rd clarinets do not.
