Together with Carus-Verlag Stuttgart, under the overall direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann the Dresdner Kammerchor will realize the first complete recording of the works of Heinrich Schütz by 2017. As part 3, the “Musikalische Exequien,” which Schütz composed in 1635/36 for the funeral of his Sovereign Heinrich Posthumus Reuss, will now be released. Further songs of mourning, some for solo voices, round out the CD. Included among these are works which have never been recorded before. In addition to the Dresdner Kammerchor, among others, Dorothee Mields, Harry van der Kamp and Jan Kobow could be engaged for the recording of the complete works. The recording employs the excellentSACD recording technique. A coproduction with MDR Figaro.
