Harold Hinchcliffe Sykes was a British twentieth century arranger and composer, who usually published under the name Harold H. Sykes . His setting of The Poor Snail is for Unison Voice with Piano accompaniment. It laments the way in which a Snail must carry his home on his back. The lyrics were written by J. M. Westrup , who is best known for his poem Flying .
