Dr. William Reginald Pasfield (1909-1994) was a British composer, organist and pedagogue. He taught composition at the London College of Music, where he also founded the Junior College in 1959. His compositions were largely written for either choral ensembles or Organ, including several religious works, but his chamber music for Woodwind and Piano is perhaps better known today. Skyscapes is a collection of five pieces for solo Flute with Piano accompaniment, first published in 1963. It is the only work for Flute the Pasfield wrote, but the delicate simplicity of this collection will leave both the Flautist and the audience wishing he had written more.
