Jet has once again knocked it out of the park with the JT-350 t-style electric guitar, here presented in Butterscotch with SS Alnico Pickups. With a classic 50's look, this guitar is phenomenally well specified for the price. As with all Jet guitars, it features a silky smooth Roasted Maple neck bolted to a basswood body. The JT350 has also been upgraded with Alnico magnet pickups, locking tuning machines and a plateless neck joint, features usually seen on guitars costing significantly more. The bone nut takes every vibration out of the strings, while the 3 Chrome Saddle Bridge results in authentic tone.

With a light and resonant Basswood body, combined with a Roasted Canadian Maple neck/fretboard, the Jet JT-350 is off to a very good start. This guitar really has looks to die for, with a rich gloss finish that shows off the Butterscotch body and toasted neck to full effect. Ribbed flat studs give it a vintage look that complements the caramel hue of the neck and the classic black pick guard.

In terms of playing ergonomics, the JT-350 is instantly comfortable for the modern guitarist, with a modern 'C' shaped neck profile and 9.5 inch radius fingerboard. Jet has gone to extra lengths to improve playing comfort, with an extra contour added to the lower body cutaway to facilitate movement in the upper band, as well as a plateless neck heel. Hardware-wise, the locking tuners are a great feature for the price, while a fixed bridge with three chrome saddles provides authentic tele tone and feel. The leg nut ensures that all the vibrations from the strings are transferred to the two Alnico single-coil pickups.

These are controlled via volume/tone buttons and 3-way switch layout. The Jet JT-350 in Butterscotch far exceeds its price range in terms of features and specifications. It will also appeal to experienced guitarists and "tweakers" looking for an instrument to tinker with and modify at very low cost. A winner all around.
