This opening piece by Japanese composer Satoshi Yagisawa expresses joy, gratitude, hope and courage. The three sections are performed without interruption. We hear ‘Joy’ in the brilliant introduction, ‘Gratitude’ in the chorale-like middle section and ‘Courage and Hope’ in the closing section.
