Recorded by the Cannonball Adderley Quintet in the 1960s, this distinctive samba was composed by Cannonball's brother Nat. Featuring a relaxed Latin groove and the familiar riff-like melodies, Mark's chart uses an ensemble of 3saxes, trumpet and trombone alternating with punches from the entire ensemble. Solos are included for alto and trumpet, and the shout chorus features occasional 3/4 measures thrown in for added spice.
