The Music Goes Round And Around was first written in 1935. The music was composed by the American singer-songwriters Edward “Eddie” Farley and Michael “Mike” Riley , who together were running their own band, while the lyrics were written by ”Red” Hodgson . It is best remembered from the 1936 recording by the bandleader Tommy Dorsey : despite being dismissed by some as an “annoying ditty”, it became one of the biggest hits of the year, and has remained fairly well-known ever since. This classic standard has been arranged for Piano, Voice and Guitar, with boxed chord symbols for easy use.
