As a continuation of the first volume in this series, this lesson is designed for upper middle school and high school string students. It introduces easy optional chord theory only AFTER the student has experienced improvising with chords aurally. Three basic concepts that are pre-requisites to advanced jazz improvising are presented: solo development, modes and inner melodies.
