The majority of compositions by Jaroslav Kocian (1883-1950) - an internationally known Violin virtuoso and a distinguished teacher who trained awhole generation of Czech Violin players - were written for Violin. Due to their brilliant character, the pieces can serve as suitable encores to round out the concert recitals.

This edition was published jointlybetweenEditio Barenreiter Praha and the Jaroslav Kocian International Violin Competition in Usti nad Orlici.
