The Jubilee Shows No. 19 & 20 are two complete shows taken from a popular feature on U.S. Armed Forces Radio which ran from 1942 onwards. Each radio show typically featured a swing band, a guest vocalist, and sometimes a comedy sketch. This CD contains two shows: in the first, jazz legend Louis Armstrong and his Big Band are the highlight, while in the second, Benny Carter and his orchestra are the headline act. Carter (1907-2003) continued playing a leading role in jazz through to the 1990s, so this early recording of him will be of interest to many fans.
