These two spirituals -- Steal Away and Were You There? -- have become staples in the gospel repertoire and have been skillfully and sensitively combined into a quodlibet for male Voices with Piano accompaniment. Twentieth century English Organist Hazel Hudson has published many of these combinations of separate tunes into one work, as well as works for student musicians and arrangements of religious music.The work is of intermediate difficulty and is an appealing piece for Choral programmes.
