Joseph Küffner (1776-1856) is best remembered for his contributions to Guitar literature, and indirectly, Clarinet methods. Of his compositions for winds, a set of duets for Oboe and Clarinet (op. 80) have become standards for students. Adapted by Simeon Bellison and added to the famous Klosé Celebrated Method for Clarinet , these works have become an integral part in Clarinet pedagogy.
