Beyond the Distant Ridge – Concert Band – Score
Beyond the Distant Ridge opens with a bold brass fanfare before moving into a driving mixed-meter section. A broad ballad later creates space for a solo horn line.
Musical shape and preparation
The score allows the relationship between parts to be followed when planning rehearsal work. The course converges in a powerful full-ensemble climax. Clear changes between momentum and lyricism offer work on shape, transitions and continuity of sound across contrasting sections.
